I smile everytime I remember my mother who has gone to heaven several years ago.
I smile every time I remember how she answered me when I was looking for things inside the house, like “nanay where is the broom ? or the umbrella. … or ….(anything)” she would always answer “maybe it is with Wada why don’t you ask her? Wada is a chinese merchant selling all kinds of stuff in our town. I can’t understand why the foolish answer to my very serious question. Then she would say ” that is the disadvantage of living in a mansion , you cannot easily find your things” But our house is a small nipa hut in the middle of the coconut farm. Oftentimes her auto answer is “use your eyes and not your mouth”. After several decades , Im like my Nanay now 😊
