School of Hard Knocks

Its a shop and is amusing to learn that its name literally means we knock hard the steel to form something. The easiest one to make is the bowl, I presumed its the easiest because it’s simple and the wooden mold is shallow , we made it fast and right the first time. Pewter making is one of the oldest craft in Kuala Lumpur brought by chinese businessman.

We were toured around the Royal Selangor School of Hard Knocks before the actual workshop

A certificate was given at the end of the workshop and we brought home our masterpiece …lol and our apron

Pewter bowl with my name in it , nice souvenir

Listening to instruction…. Knock from the side to the center

the production area

A snacks is served at the caferia after the workhop

A very memorable experience

Saloma Theatre Restaurant ,Kuala Lumpur

There are plenty of food but the choices are Malaysian native dishes and chinese food only . Malaysian food are spicy. It is a dinner buffet, we had our food trip here. We are adventurous when it comes to food, we discovered dates taste better after eating someting spicy.

One thing good about this restaurant is the cultural show.

After the show we pose with the dancers

The traditional Malay dance

Malaysia acknowledges the Chinese influence in their culture even in their dances

A wedding dance

The best part is the bamboo dance, we also have that back home, we call that tinikling

The guest were invited to go up the stage and learn the basic steps of the bamboo dance

Saloma Theatre Restaurant has a good view outside

Language barrier

When we were in Kuala Lumpur we were looking for a place where to eat, at the front of our hotel we saw this place SUKA bar and restaurant . We were wondering what are the foods there

Back home “suka” has 2 meanings, vinegar and vomit. We are curious, but to be safe we choose other place lol..and besides the place is intimading..it seems pricey

Another thing, when our friend from Kuala Lumpur brought us to a street food stall we hesitate to order the “ayam”. Back home “ayam” in a local dialect in our province means dog. We would not eat dog meat , but our friend assured us its a chicken, so we ordered and its delicious

Dreamtrips Kuala Lumpur

Last time we were in Hongkong, Macau, Singapore and now Kuala Lumpur for our 4th Dreamtrip.

Our trip in Kuala Lumpur was a glimpse of Malaysian culture . We climbed the 272 stairs in Batu Caves- the Hindu holy place, visited the fascinating sights in the city which includes famous attractions like the Royal Museum , Royal Palace, Independence Square and the City Gallery We had our buffet lunch at the Atmosphere 360 in KL Tower, dinner buffet with cultural show at the Saloma Theatre Restaurant, and the most memorable was the pewter smithing workshop at School of Hard Knocks of Royal Selangor.

In my previous blog post I mentioned that I will check if what was promised to us at the time of booking will be actually delivered.

So here goes

Day 1

Airport -Hotel Transfer. Good. We did not wait long , the In -destination support team member arrived on time . But unlike in Hongkong , there was no desk where we can immediately see the blue sign “you should be here “. Overall, the airport hotel transfer met our expectation

A pose at the arrival area

It took an hour to travel from the airport to Hotel Istana. We were happy for the welcome drink upon arrival in the hotel, a refreshing pomegranate juice .

Check in was pre-arranged so all we had to do was to get our keys, take a rest and prepare for our welcome dinner.

There is always a welcome gifts from Dreamtrips

The Welcome dinner

We do not have a picture of the main course

One of the exciting activity of every Dreamtrip is the welcome dinner. All travel club members whose birthmonth falls on the dreamtrip schedule celebrates birthday together with a birthday cake

Our travel buddy Manay Nellie celebrated her 68th birthday at Hotel Istana , with fellow dreamtrippers

The local singer entertains us while having a dinner. There is an audience participation and we voluntered Margy. She sings well, I think she can have a second career after her present corporate work.

Day 2

We meet at the hotel lobby at 9 am for our whole day tour. With us in the bus are the Mandarin and English speaking guide. A bottled water was provided during the tour

1st stop is Batu Caves. A climb to a 272 steps to reach the entrance of the cave. This is a test of stamina.

I have a separate blog post for Batu Caves

2nd stop is Atmosphere 360 and observation deck at Kuala Lumpur Tower. The buffet lunch is superb, plenty of food choices .

The main course

Foods, and more foods

While having our lunch the restaurant revolve in 360 degrees for 1 hr and we got to see the entire city below

After our lunch we went down to the observation deck

Within the Kl Tower compound is an upside down house

3rd stop. Istana Negra , the Malaysia’s former National Palace and now the Royal Museum.

Afterwards we had our city tour.

The light and sounds at the City Gallery shows the history of Malaysia and its physical development through the years. I feel envious when they show their development plan . I hope our leaders back home have at least a vision for development.

The development plan in Kuala Lumpur

The light and sound show

Inside the hall of city gallery

After the lights and sound show we roamed around the Independence square.

At 4 pm we were back at the hotel and meet again in the lobby at 7 pm for our dinner
Before the dinner we had few minutes picture taking at the front of the Kuala Lumpur’s landmark, the Petronas Twin Towers

We had our dinner at Saloma Restaurant. Its a buffet dinner and most of the food are the native foods in Malaysia, everything is spicy. My secret, I ate dates after eating a spicy food.

There is a cultural show during the dinner

Its nice to see that we have the same bamboo dance , back home we call it “tinikling”

Day 3

For platinum members we had a tour in the new Royal palace where the present King lives today. When the yellow flag is up the King is inside

Outside the palace gate are tourist taking photos

Next stop is the School of Hard Knocks , we made our own pewter

They gave us a certificate and we brought home our pewter bowl

A simple snack is served at the cafeteria after the workshop
If I were to rate the tour – its Excellent.

Now let us check the hotel.

Hotel Istana .

The room is spacious and clean although it is not as elegant and luxurious compared to our hotel in dreamtrips Macau where we stayed at Harbourview Hotel

The buffet breakfast is good although food choices is limited to American, Arabic and Malaysian dishes. No Japanese and Korean food
I love the Nasi lemak, a malaysian food

Arabic food for breakfast is a good try, pita and fattoush is delicious

There is a swimming pool but due to hectic schedule we did not try it.

The staff are kind and helpful . I will definitely recommend this Kuala Lumpur Welcome Dreamtrip to other Dreamtrip members. Special mention to our in destination support team member Ms Pauline Khoon. Thank you Ms Pauline for taking care of our hotel to airport transfer on our 4th day

Batu Caves

I consider it my achievement when I was able to climb the 272 steps going up to the main entrance of Batu Caves considering that I dont have a regular exercise before the trip .

On the right side at the foot of the stairs is a very large and tall statue of a Hindu God.

the stairs to the entrance of Batu Caves

After 100 plus steps..we sat on the landing stair , catching out breath, lol.

At the left side of the main entrance to the Batu Caves is a smaller cave called the Dark cave. There is a big billboard and the monkeys love to sit on it

The main entrance of the cave is very huge. I thought the place is dark, but no , the sun rays penetrates the place . We were not able to see the next chamber because doing so will require another climb in 100 plus steps and its steeper this time

After some photos we decided to go downstair. We can see the nearby city, its a nice view. But for those who has vertigo going down is more difficult than going up. I feel a little bit dizzy

here is a nice view of from the top

Is it worth visiting the place? For me yes. I am always curious about other peoples religion and culture. Temples, shrines , cathedral , what ever form of house of worship I visit always amaze me. I wish there is someone who will explain to me what it is all about. When we visited a buddhist relic temple in Singapore our guide was so passionate about his religion that he explained to us very well. This time our guide did not accompany us to the cave ,so no one explains to us. But no problem, there is mr google with ready answer.. lol

Hotel Istana at Kuala Lumpur

Address: 73 Jalan Raja Chulan, Kuala Lumpur

Lets take a look at the room.

We are booked in a deluxe room with 2 single beds. The room is clean and spacious. There’s a minibar with free bottled water, coffee and tea. There is a safe, a refrigerator and a telephone.

The toilet is clean but a little bit outdated. A hair dryer ,slippers is provided , but there are no bathrobes. The toiletries are not branded, like in other five star hotels.

we have a nice view from our room

The Food

We had our breakfast at Taman Sari restaurant.

Our guide, Pauline, taught us how to make a Nasi lemak. Its a combination of fragrant rice with coconut, crispy fried anchovies, peanuts, chili paste, chicken rendang and cucumber. This is a favorite dish in Malaysia, its sooo yummy

I tried the Arabic food on our second day breakfast- pita bread, fattoush and mudammas- which also tasted good

Chinese and American food are also available

The lobby.

There’s an outdoor swimming pool but we haven’t tried it due to busy schedule .

Location:

Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur is conveniently located near many of the shopping destinations, both high-end and low-budget.

Staff:

The staff of Hotel Istana are kind and helpful , and are good looking.

Airport to hotel transfer at Kuala Lumpur

Our trip to Kuala Lumpur was booked in Dream Trips of World Ventures. The airport to hotel transfer is included in the package. The schedules were 10:00 am, 1:00 pm , 4:00pm and 6 pm

We arrived at 10:40 , had our passport stamped at the immigration office and our lunch at 12:30 to 1:00pm. The in destination support team member assigned to pick us up is already waiting for us to transfer us to Hotel Istana. They are very helpful and courteous. If I would rate the airport to hotel transfer of Dreamtrips, its excellent!!!

Road Trip

It took 8 hrs to travel by land from Naga City in Cam Sur to Makati City. We could have travelled by plane and it will only took us one hour but the airfare is 3x higher. The best part of the long travel is catching up. We are the accountants of the same company assigned at different provinces. Being in the same company for decades, we develop friendship both on a professional and personal level.

Along the high way are plenty of restaurants to choose from, we had our lunch at Lolo Ompo in Calauag. Organic red rice is of generous servings, the sinigang na salmon is fresh but little bit salty for me. the fried dilis is so crispy Id like to learn how to cook this.

Bright and sunny day

A zigzag alternate road in Atimonan in the middle of the forest has a breathtaking view but not recommended for those who has vertigo. The driver must be very careful with its sharp curves going up and down the mountain

There’s a small park where we rest for a while after a long hour drive

Restroom20 in Lucena City change the way I look at public toielts. Its possible to have a clean and well maintained public restrooms. I dont mind paying 20. The lounge is spacious , better than a budget hotel.

I dont know why there is a powdered milk in the living room of Restroom20

The cleanest public restroom Ive been to.

We arrived in Makati at 7:00 pm and stayed at YMCA

YMCA Makati

Address: 7 Sacred Heart St, San Antonio Village, Makati

Tel no 02 8996379

Infront Sacred Heart Store

An affordable place to stay in Makati . Family room is 2,500 can accomodate 5 people. Deluxe room for 2 is only 1,100 per night.

There is a 24 hr burger stand at the side of the parking lot , other than that there are no fast food nor restaurants in the area. I woke up at 5 am and cant find a store where I can buy at least coffee. A small eatery opens at 6am. The nearest convenience store is several blocks away

Subic Bay

What can be more exciting than planning a weekend get away with friends since high school who seldom see each other but remain friends for life. Its 35 years of friendship and counting, we are all busy with our lives doing multiple roles of a woman but we never forget to have fun.

So on early morning of Saturday (March 18, 2017 ) we went to Subic Bay which is 4 hrs drive from Manila. The long travel is a good time for catching up.

Next time maybe we can rent a yacth for P20,000 for 2 hrs. We only planned for sight seing the Subic Bay and the adjacent place , Olongapo. We were not prepared for sailing.

From the yacht club we went to the mountain side in the afternoon to see the fruit bat. Those trees are full of bats that are sleeping on day time. The bats are hanging in a tree that resembles a fruit that is why its called fruit bat

Then back to the seaside to see the historic marker of the turnover of the Subic Bay from the USA govt to Phil govt

Albay Park and Wildlife

I brought my 10 year old son to  the Albay Park and Wildlife on one weekend this summer and this bring a lot of smiles on his face.

Albay Park and Wildlife is more of a park than a zoo. Horseback riding is one of the favorite activities aside from boating  and biking

Sheep are freely roaming around the park

There are only few animals in the zoo

We travelled almost two hrs to see this place.

I wish there are  parks near the area where we can spend our weekends.

Who is a Good Wife and Mother

Let the scripture  set the standard of  a good wife and a mother .

 Proverbs 31:10-31 says

A wife of noble character who can find ? She is worth far more than rubies.

Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.

She brings him good , not harm all the days of her life.

She selects wool and flax and work with eager hand

She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar

She  gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.

She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings  she plants a vineyard.
She sets about her work vigorously; her arms  are strong for her tasks.

She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.

In her hand she hold the distaff and grasp the spindle with her fingers.

She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy

When it snows, she has no fear for household   for all of them are clothed in scarlet.

She makes covering for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple.

Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders  of the land

She makes linen garments and sells them

She is clothed with strenght and dignity ; she can laugh at the days  to come .

She speaks with wisdom and faithful instruction is on her tongue

She watches over  the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness

Her children arise and call her blessed ; her husband also, and he praise her

Many women do noble things , but you surpass them all

Charm is deceptive , and beauty is fleeting ; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Give her the reward she has earned , and let her works bring praise at the city gates

Animasola Island

The clear crystal waters, the beautiful rock formations was surreal. I was left in awe.

My heart was singing, ” oh Lord my God when Im in awesome wonder , consider all the work thy hands has made….then sings my soul my saviour God to thee, How great Thou art how great Thou art”

Sombrero Island

It is located at San Pascual ,Burias Island, Masbate. Sombrero Island has a small and big island, the small one resembles a hat.

Few meters away from this area is a white beach, the swimming area.

Sombrero Island   gains popularity these days , the guests  tend to flock the area specially on long weekends.

If you are joining a group tour , be very careful in choosing an agency or travel guide or you might be duped.  At the time of booking with Burias Escapade we  were made to believe that we are only 25 in a group. On the day of our travel , we were surprised that they booked 70 people

Also, we were told that the package includes an open cottage, much to our dismay,  there was none!!!. Good that we booked a closed cottage for additional 3,500 pesos for one night.

We were so disappointed with the way  Burias Escapade  handled our travel. The food in carenderia is even better than the food they served us during lunch, dinner and breakfast in the Island. Hindi kami maarte but with the price we paid to the agency we deserved better.  Its not all bad though,  they serve us   a sumptous lunch in San Pascual  on our last day with lechon and seafoods, but  we ate at 2 pm.

But we would not want to ruin our vacation. We just enjoyed the beautiful view and the company

Sunset

Sunrise

Island hopping

I think its better to visit this place on week days. And DIY.  The shore  is  crowded with banca in the afternoon that swimming is nearly impossible.

The place is beautiful only that maybe we went there at the wrong time and we booked with the wrong travel guide.

My Orchard at Tierra Nevada

We started planting guyabao, durian, mangosteen, longgan, lychee, jack fruit, pomelo, lemon, anonas, chico, avocado, coffee, cacao, miracle fruit, mango, pili, santol, blue berry, abiu, sampaloc, castanas, iba, star apple, lanzones, rambutan, dragon fruit, grapes, guava, ugob, gumihan , tisa ,cashew, atis,  kiat kiat banana, papaya, pine apple,   tungaw tungaw lol, yes were propagating it. Its wild and sweet. So we have 38   fruit bearing plants all in all

Sana mamunga lahat.

We dont have bignay, duhat , balimbing, aratelis,

CALOCO BEACH

Caloco Beach, in Caloco Tinambac, is the best summer destination for those who likes to enjoy a beautiful beach but on a tight budget like me.

It has a fine yellow sand, and the shoreline stretch up to 3kilometers(just my estimate). We had the beach all for ourselves, we are only 3, for one whole day for FREE

I heard that Caloco Beach is owned by LGU Tinambac, and it is the Barangay of Caloco that manages and take care of the beach. We only pay 15 pesos per head for an environmental fee. Saan ka dadalhin ng 15 pesos mo? Sa Caloco Beach haha.

We parked our car outside the Caloco Elementary School for free. We brought our own food, we have to , there is no carenderia where we can buy someting to eat. There is no cottage in beach but the trees along the seashore gives a better shade.

There’s a newly constructed small building about 60 sqm, just my estimate, and it will be offered for rent soon. According to the caretaker the rent is only 500 per day for the entire house.

You may ask me if its safe to go there? Caloco itself is a safe place. The people are friendly and helpful, but the one hour drive(we are only 60km/hr speed) in Tinambac Siruma road may be frightening to some . But to enjoy any unfamiliar place , just trust the goodness of the universe haha

Its lowtide

The shoreline

Fine yellow sand

No need to bring a hammock

Wood bench sculpted by the wind and the waves

Seaweeds farming is one of the livelihood in Caloco.

Tinambac to Siruma road

There are still portion not yet cemented.. construction is ongoing

Baguio City

The famous teleserye Forevermore had just ended when we  travelled   to the summer capital of the Philippines,   Baguio City!  Due to the popularity of that serye, the location which is La Presa(not the real name of the place)  became a tourist destination for  months This house draws a lot of  local tourist . This is where Agnes  (Liza Soberano) lives . Picture taking outside this house makes  a lot of money for the owner. The fee is 20 pesos per person  and there are  hundreds of people who lined up there to have a pictue of the house. If this was  not used for location shooting who would like to have picture here. Fans are indeed  crazy haha, me included.Bonita the famous piglet is no longer in this pigpen

The tent where Xander(Enrique Gil) lives  just outside Agnes house.

Sitio  La Presa is a fictional strawberry farm in the soap  but the real name of the place is Sitio Pungayan Tuba Benguet

The place is really beautiful, this is  the 2nd highest mountain next to Sagada

Crowd going to the house of  Agnes

At 2 pm our driver cum tourist guide advise us to leave because of the thick fog  in the late afternoon that causes zero visibility.

From La Presa we went to the Wright Park for horse back riding

Boating at Burnham Park in the late afternoon

This is where  we stayed there are 3 rooms and it can accomodate up to 15 persons

On our second day, we went to the strawberry farm  in La Trinidad , Benguet

From the strawberry farm we went to the Tam awan village.

From Tam awan we went to the  Mines View Park

Ric likes the strawberry taho so much

Kenon road

Pasacao

Balogo, Pasacao is the  nearest(only 25 km) and the cheapiest summer destination from Naga City . The sand and the sea may not be as beautiful as the beaches in  Caramoan or Burias  or  Siruma,  but its not that bad,  for a quick weekend get away. The good thing is  , we can visit the place every weekend  due   to its proximity to our home in Naga City.

Along the  long stretch of seashore of Balogo, Pasacao, are lots of beach  resorts to choose from. There are small  resorts  with basic amenities  such as   open nipa huts  and toilet, no shower and dressing room.  There are also resorts with  swimming pool and aircon rooms.

We visit this place many times in a year   due to  our health concern. We believe that the sea breeze on early morning is good for us. So we find ways how to spend the least we can. We  only spend 50 pesos for parking fee, and entrance fee is free. We did not get a hut, and we brought our own food. We stayed in the resort for only 3 hrs. 6:am to 9 am. Sometimes instead of paying for the hut, we rent banca for 350 pesos and go to Daruanak island which is  just 10 minutes from Balogo. We do this when the resort is crowded during summer.

Daruanak Island as seen from the beach of Balogo

A small resort with no business name yet. The have a shaded parking area, parking fee is 50 pesos

There is a stair being constructed today in Daruanak, its 260 steps, hopefully it will be finished by summer in 2018. We can have a good view of the nearby  mountain and sea below.

Travel While Young

I dreamed of travelling since I was a child, but due to time and financial responsibilities , it took me more than two decades doing my 8amto 5 pm job before I started going out of my country and travel within the asian region . Our first destination was Hongkong. We are four in a group. My companions are my friends from my workplace , they were two retired women and one nearing retirement like me. To make things easy for us , we joined a travel club where everything was taken care of from landing to liftoff. We were picked up from the airport on time and we were allowed to check in early in a 4 star hotel where we stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. There was a welcome dinner buffet, a traditional chinese fine dining in a luxurious restaurant. The program ends at 9 pm. The night was still young but we decided to sleep early to prepare ourselves for the next day activity . So while our young members are enjoying the night because our hotel is centrally located and is the best location for night outings , we the older members of the travel club were already snoring.

Come morning, the breakfast buffet is superb with lots of international cuisine to choose from , we ate to our hearts content and feel guilty afterwards. Can we not just eat and forget the calories and cholesterol in every bite? The funny thing is we brought our anti hypertensive drugs in the buffet table.

Then our 1st day tour started . Our tour guide drop us off at the Oceanpark and will pick us up at dinner time. The Ocean park is very huge. It is divided into two parts the waterfront and the summit which can only be reached by cable car or underground train .After seing the panda in the waterfront we decided to go to the summit by cable car. its a first time for the 4 of us. It seems that all of us has acrophobia . While we are there up high, thousand feet above the ground , I can hear my heart is pounding..We are not talking with each other. Then I slowly looked down , what a beautiful scenery, the vast blue sea and the park itself. At last I conquered my fear of heights, what an achievement.!! After our lunch we walk around and see the giant roller coaster..the thrill of the young people in the rides is so inviting, but no it may cost our lives. So we just walk around , pause for picture, and sat on every bench available after a few distance walk. We laugh at the thought that we paid for a whole day tour for sightseing and unlimited rides just to sit around and wait for our guide to pick us at 6 pm for our buffet dinner . We enjoy the tour though most of the time was spent on picture taking, and watching street shows. The next days were city tour and a bargain hunt .

One thing I realise in our travel, it pays to stay in a comfortable place that after a tiring day we can dip in a warm jacuzzi. Backpacking is no longer a thing for oldies like us. So that means spending more than we should have spent when we travel young.

Boracay

Our family outing in summer of 2014 was in Boracay. We purchased plane tickets 10 months before the trip, its a seat sale from Cebu Pacific so we saved a lot.

My youngest son , 1st time to rode a plane

We stayed at Nirvana in station 2, for 2 nights. The place is not beach front but is 5 minutes walking to the beach. It is an apartment with two aircon rooms at the 2nd floor and a living , kitchen dining and toilet and bath at the 1st floor. There’s a small swimming pool infront of the 5 door apartments. What I love most in this place is the kitchen with complete utensils . We are 5 in a family so eating out will be very expensive, we bought what we need in the market and cook our own food ,that way we saved much on food.

We had fun , only that my daughter had an asthma attack, may be due to the very hot weather, its April or maybe due to the exhausting ride from Kalibo to Boracay which is more than 3 hrs . So next time instead of Kalibo I’ll choose Caticlan flight . And another lesson I learned in this travel is to make sure we have our medicines on hand. I brought the nebulizer but I forgot to bring the nebule. At 2 am , me and my son was walking in town proper looking for meds. No available meds of known brand. I took the risk of buying a nebule of Korean brand, I cant even read the label, I just trusted the store owner and prayed that everyting will be alright. Indeed, that Korean medicine was effective.

Three days and 2 nights is not enough to enjoy Boracay. Next time we will stay little bit longer for my children to try some of the water sports and for me and my husband to try the best spa in the island.

We will be back

And we will stay longer

Holiday Inn Atrium, Singapore

Holiday Inn Atrium is located at 317 Outram Road , Singapore. It is near the famous Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay and Merlion Park , about 15 minutes by car. There’s no heavy traffic in Singapore unlike in Manila

The deluxe room is huge, 1 double bed and one single bed. It is clean and smells fresh , pillows are soft and bed is comfortable .

Fruits in the side table. Their deluxe room is really for 3 person

There’s a ref ,coffee maker and complimentary bottled water , Dilmah tea, and nescafe coffee , all are replenished daily.

This is the view from our room. Holiday Inn Atrium is near the Singapore river, but we did not try the river cruise because I had a fever on our first day . I just slept the whole afternoon.

Fried carrot cake, upma and naan are some of the singaporean food I tasted in our breakfast buffet. There are wide variety to choose from but I really see to it that I tasted local foods in every place I visited.

Those are some of the familiar foods we ate on our 3 breakfast buffet

Holiday Inn Atrium is a 4 star hotel . We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. The facilities, food and services are all very good, I will definitely stay here again.

Vikings

We tried Vikings at the Jazz Residences at Makati during my birthday. It was Monday so we did not make reservation. I thought guest will be few since its working day, but I was so wrong. I forget that its christmas party time . We arrived at 10:00am , 1 hr before the opening and we are w3, so theres 2 walk ins ahead of us. Then comes 11 am..throngs of guest arrived with customes and gifts . I was glad we are only 2 so we were called ahead of other walk ins in group.

Before I go to any buffet I already have in my mind what to eat first and what next ..But when we entered my choice was on the lesser crowd. So I tried first the Japanese section and Im happy I did.

The maki and sushi taste better than the japanese resraurant we have been to the other day.
The korean foods is also yummy.

I haven’t tried the Italian foods since most of the guest are lined up there and besides Im already feeling full. Thats why Im not a fan of buffet but this is free for those celebrating their birthday with one paying companion , so its alright.
