A woman who had suffered from severe bleeding for twelve years came up behind Jesus and touched the edge of His cloak. 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will get well”
22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Courage my daughter !Your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment . Matthew 9:20-22
This verse at least calms me knowing that Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever. He healed the woman with 12 years of bleeding , He will surely heal me. Last May 2025 I was diagnose to have thickened endometrium it was 15 mm . The number is too high for a menopause woman . Worse is I have spotting. I was advised to undergo dilation and cutterage . Then, have a biopsy afterwards to see if the tissues have cancerous cells. That frightens me so much. I postponed the D&C for two reasons: First I am afraid of the invasive procedure . Second I am afraid of the result of biopsy after D&C.
Months later the bleeding become worse and the thickening of my endometrium increased from 15mm to 20mm for a span of 8 months. I have consulted at least two OB and both have the same advise , to undergo D&C.
I resolved to conquer my fear and take action, like a woman who tried to touch the cloak of Jesus in the middle of a large crowd, I will have my D& C tomorrow. I believe these medical professionals will be God’s instrument in my healing. Jesus will tell me “Courage, my daughter, your faith has healed you” just as He told the woman of long ago.
