Many things have change during this pandemic including protocols in hoapital admission. My youngest son had a high fever since Saturday October 2, 2021. After 2 days, Monday he had loose bowel movement and had no enough food intake since since day 1. We decided to bring him to the hospital to avert dehydration on October 4 after teleconsulting with his pedia Dra Yangco. Before they were allowed to enter the emergency room of NICC in Naga City my son and his 2 companions. The 3of them undergone swab testing.
Only one watcher is allowed inside the room.
I was working outside our city which is more than a hundred kilometers away and have to get Letter of Authorization to enter and leave that city. I had that LOA since the day it was implemented and renewable every 15days. So at 2pm I drove to Naga City to attend to my son in the hispital. It took me almost 4 hrs because I have to stop for several times for I am so sleepy. There was a point when i fall asleep on a spit second that i was on the wrong lane. Buti na lang walang kasalubong. Nakakatakot yon. Di na ko uulit. So when driving, rest if you feel even a little sleepy, it can save your life and others.
I was not allowed to even enter the hallway of the hospital, so I just went home and back today to get my antigen test done. I am waiting for the the result. I hope it is negative, Oh God I pray it is negative. I want to take care of my son. My husband who is already a senior and has co morbidity will be our runner while me will be inside the hospital room to attend my son. No visitors allowed. Only one watcher allowed. Mahirap makasakit ngayong panahon ng covid
