Singapore

My third Asian trip for 2016 using my own travel booking engine from Dream Trips was in Singapore. There were hesitations to  travel that time because of the Zika virus outbreak   and the haze which started just a week before  we travel . Dream Trip members  were asking if it is safe to visit Singapore at that time. We found out that it was safe so me and my friend Mayette packed our things and got ready for the 4 days and 3 nights trip starting Aug 28 to Aug 31, 2016.

4 hours from NAIA to Changi
Terminal Map

We landed on Terminal 1 but our hotel transfer is in Terminal 2 so got a map ready. But Mayette saw the blue sign ” you should be here” right outside the immigration in terminal 1 and our guide was waiting for us there and the van was right away ready.

Hotel Lobby. Holiday Inn Atrium. Outram Rd. Singapore

Our room was very spaciuos. Shout out to my former travel buddy Manay Nellie, YOU SHOULD BE HERE.  I suppose our room was for three people, it having a double bed and another single bed.

Welcome dinners! My favorite!

hotel to Resorts World Sentosa
We were given our tickets and 20 SGD each for our lunch at the Universal Studios

We skipped the long line because we already have our tickets. Convenient!

Hollywood zone

Feels like New York with this star

It’s not going to move right?

Dinner at Orchidville, 1 hour away from Universal Studios.

City tour for third day. The iconic MerLion
Buddha tooth relic temple

Ou temple visit lasted for almost an hour because the English-speaking Chinese guide was very passionate about Buddhism that he brought us to all the 4 floors of the temple and explain the religion to us. After that we were given a 30 minutes to buy souvenirs in china town.

All greens. Healthy eating. I had an impression that Singaporeans are health conscious. Most of he food we ate are low in salt and there are always vegetables in their dishes.

At 4 pm, we had our free  time so we decided to take the public transpo (taxi and train) to see the famous Garden by the Bay at night and feast our eyes on the items we can’t afford to buy at the  famous high end shopping center.

Japanese food for our merienda slash dinner. Thank you to Mayette’s niece, Michelle!

Singapore is so clean and orderly. Things are a bit expensive but it’s all worth it. Bye for now but we’ll be back again!

going home

good plane food

Back to work now! We only spent Php 10, 000 (airfare not included). See you again Dream Trips!
